Agricultural Sustainability

Serve-Ag has suitably qualified staff with a broad range of skills and experience in assisting landholders improve management of their natural resources to enhance long term productivity, profitability and agricultural sustainability.

Serve-Ag’s agricultural consultants and agronomists work with farmers throughout Tasmania, assisting them to address issues relating to soil health, water quality, salinity, crop protection and nutrient management.  The company’s key strengths are in the areas of managing soil health and building capacity of farmers to create sustainable and profitable farm businesses.

Over the past 5 years Serve-Ag has worked with NRM bodies and managed large, government funded extension and research projects that have engaged participants in farmer groups. These groups have addressed issues such as sustainable agriculture land management, productivity and climate change.  Serve-Ag has organized and facilitated Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Property Management Planning (PMP) workshops and conducted salinity training for farmers and consultants.  A review of past projects (link to past projects) illustrates the broad range of work undertaken for the Tasmanian agricultural industry.
